About Neopac The Tube
Hoffmann Neopac is a privately-owned company, headquartered in Thun, Switzerland. The group produces high-quality metal and plastic packaging in six locations: HOFFMANN tins in Thun and CMP tins in Holland; Polyfoil® and plastic tubes with NEOPAC in Switzerland, Hungary and the US; and 3D Neopac in India. Its longstanding customers include internationally active pharmaceutical, cosmetics and consumer goods manufacturers in the European, North American and Asian markets. Including its new production facility in the United States, Neopac employs around 1,250 employees and has a capacity of 1.3 billion tubes. The company is dedicated to sustainability in both its manufacturing processes and corporate culture, including a dedicated eco-conscious packaging portfolio. Neopacs Polyfoil® tubes offer the best protection against light, air, water vapor diffusion and substance Migration. Not only do their barrier properties win you over, but they are also very user-friendly and safe. They also offer high compatibility with liquid or semi-solid medication. The selection ranges from single-dose tubes and airless pump or dropper tubes, to tubes with tamper-proof and child resistant features. Various applicators facilitate correct dosage and the application of medicine. Trust the original when it comes to the main packaging materials for applications in dermatology, ophthalmology, animal health and pain relief. Neopac manufactures the smallest flexible barrier tubes in the world for filling volumes of 1 to 8ml, in diameters of 10 and 13.5mm. Since 2019, Neopac produces their small diameter laminate tubes in its US-based facility in Wilson, North Carolina. This tube manufacturing center will enable shorter lead times for our US-based customers while providing a secondary production facility in conjunction with our Swiss-based headquarters.
Plastic is currently the biggest enemy of our global seas and marine life. Due to public interest in this subject, pressure on all market players is mounting to find new solutions for a circular economy. Future generations must be able to find a healthy environment. Therefore, measures to protect the environment and resources are part of our values and corporate strategy.
In 2018, the European Union massively tightened the existing guideline for packaging and packaging waste. By 2030, all plastic packaging must be recyclable, of which 55% effectively recycled. Currently, less than 30% of all plastic packaging is collected. Together with the industry, our customers and consumers, we want to achieve the ambitious goals of the EU and thus make a considerable contribution to the circular economy.
We are therefore working intensively on several approaches:
Our RECYCLED tubes contain up to 70% of recycled material, with up to 64% PCR proportion.
With the Polyfoil® MMB (Mono Material Barrier) we developed a new barrier tube, which is already recyclable.
Additionally, we are stakeholders of CEFLEX and More Recycling.
