About Tube Council North America

The Tube Council of North America serves as a forum for discussion and the advancement of squeeze tube technology in our industry.  Promoting the squeeze tube as “Package of Choice” in the marketplace versus bottles, cans, jars, and other forms of packaging is our primary objective.

Educating our end customers and consumers regarding the benefits of squeeze tubes is our focus. Today, our role is as important as ever in the global marketplace and the environmentally conscious world we live in.

 We encourage our members, customer’s, and academics in the field of packaging to come together addressing market trends and embracing important issues such as environmental sustainability and plastics recycling efforts.   

Membership. Our membership consists of the leading squeeze tube manufacturers, globally, and our associate members, representing resources for raw materials (resin) colorants, closures, decoration as well as tube filling and sealing technologies.

Tube Council Initiatives. We formed panels during 2019 addressing topics relevant to our industry including. Ecommerce, Sustainability, Tube standards, Tube recycling initiatives, TCNA building ties with ETMA.  These are issue’s our industry faces globally.  Customers lean on us more and more for expertise and good counsel in these matters.

Website.  Once, you are a member Our website has provisions enabling you to build your companies profile on-site.  We updated and upgrading our website www.tube.org during 2020 making it more user friendly. Upgrades are ongoing and will continue to be more important than every due to the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic restricting group events and emphasizing the importance of virtual outreach.

Tube of the Year Competition and Awards. Our Tube of the Year Competition is an annual event. This event provides an opportunity for our members and their customers to submit new an innovative squeeze tubes for consideration. We accept receipt of entries during the year with October 23 as the cut off date for submissions. 

We enlist a panel of judges, selecting individuals from within our industry, customer base and the media, to review and grade each submission. Categories include, Best in Show "The Ted Klein" Award, as well as Best consumer products, dentifrice, food, Pharma, & household products. Our associate members submitted entries competing for the most innovative design and the sustainability award category.

Webinars.  we are putting greater focus on the value and cost effectiveness of conducting webinars, possibly monthly or quarterly, to include our membership, suppliers, customers and others.  Believe these are excellent tools that will keep us, as a group, tuned into the most current topics and technologies in the industry. 

Future events.  Typically, we meet twice a year. Unfortunately, the Covid 19 pandemic of 2020 forced us to cancel both events. We will place much great focus on Webinars going forward. We, trust, at some point in the future we will physically all come together. Currently evaluating the situation and developing plans for 2021 as conditions permit.
